As one of the events under the EAAFP Sister Site agreement, the “3rd Incheon-Hong Kong International East Asian-Australasian Black-faced Spoonbill Conservation Cooperation Forum” is to be held from 11^th to 13^th January 2023, supporting both online and in-person participation. It is co-hosted by the Environment Bureau of Incheon Metropolitan Government, and The Agriculture, Fisheries, and Conservation Department (AFCD) of Hong Kong SAR, and organized by the EAAFP Secretariat, the EAAFP Black-faced Working Group, Green Korea of Incheon, and Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education. The event is also supported by Waterbird Network Korea, National Institute of Ecology and K-GAS.

The forum, to be held over the course of 3 days, will include a EAAF Environmental Education Sub-forum, the Main forum for BFS Conservation Cooperation and a Site visit.

Working towards a common goal to protect the endangered Black-faced Spoonbill in the EAAF, representatives from EAAF countries will be discussing environmental education activities in Incheon and Hong Kong confirmed in previous forums, and the expansion of the Black-faced Spoonbill network in EAAF and EAAFP Sister Site program.

제3회 인천-홍콩 국제 동아시아-대양주 철새이동경로 저어새 보전 협력 포럼

EAAFP의 자매 서식지 결연 프로그램으로 인연을 맺게 된 인천광역시 환경국과 홍콩특별행정구 농어업자연보전국(AFCD)에서 주최하고, EAAFP 사무국과 EAAFP 저어새 워킹그룹, 인천 녹색연합과 인천광역시 교육청에서 주관하며 한국물새네트워크와 국립생태원, 한국가스공사에서 후원하는 제3회 인천-홍콩 국제 동아시아-대양주 철새이동경로 저어새 보전 협력 포럼이 2023년 1월 11일부터 13일, 온라인과 현장 참여의 하이브리드 방식으로 개최됩니다.

해당 포럼은 3일간 각각 동아시아-대양주 철새이동경로 내 환경교육 부속 포럼, 저어새 보전을 위한 국제 포럼과 현장 답사를 진행할 예정입니다.

국제적 위기종인 저어새 보전이라는 공동의 목표를 향한 협력을 논의하기 위해 개최되는 본 포럼에서는 이전 회차 포럼에서 확인된 인천과 홍콩에서의 환경교육 활동 논의 및 동아시아-대양주 철새이동경로 내 저어새 네트워크와 EAAFP 자매 서식지 프로그램의 확장을 논의하고자 합니다.
