The National Geographic Society funds individuals working on projects in science, conservation, storytelling, education, and technology that align with one or more of their focus areas: Ocean, Land, Wildlife, Human History & Culture, Human Ingenuity. Only the Individuals who are new to the National Geographic network may apply for the Level I grants and receive funding and other opportunities for training, networking, coaching, and mentorship. Established explorers and previous National Geographic grants grantees may apply for the Level II grants. The National Geographic Society is also accepting innovative photography, short film, writing, data visualization, and other storytelling proposals concerning global water sustainability. Maximum Amount: up to US$20,000 (Level I); up to US$100,000 (Level II); up to US$20,000 (freshwater storytelling) Submission Deadline: 12 October, 2022 (11:59pm EDT)
