The IBRRI Secretariat has launched a Call for Proposals for Small Grants, targeting Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) in Wetlands in the IBRRI countries. Applicants can apply for up to 20,000 Euro to implement 7-month projects (1 January 2021-2 August 2021) addressing climate threats in wetlands, through either implementing EbA measures or using the Mekong WET Vulnerability Assessment tool to further understand climate impacts on Ramsar sites or other wetlands in the region.
Eligibility: The current call seeks proposals for Ecosystem-based Adaptation options that can be implemented in the wetlands to increase resilience to the climate change impacts. · The call for proposals is open for all organisation working on wetlands in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Viet Nam; · Proposals to work or currently working in project sites and on the adaptation options identified by communities will be prioritized; · Proposals for EbA measures in other wetlands within the country, or the application of the VA tools in wetlands will also be considered; and, · Proposals should include a communications and awareness-raising plan to disseminate the results of the work completed. Funding: Applicants can apply for up to EUR 20,000 per proposal. All activities must be completed within seven (7) months (1 January 2021 - 2 August 2021).
The Call for Proposals will open on 4 November 2020. Deadline: Applicants are requested submit their proposals by 5 PM (Indo-China time), 25 November 2020. The announcement of funding will be made by 9 December 2020.
