As a global network, the EAAFP is represented by 37 Partners and 18 Countries, and the thousands of people who've dedicated their lives to the protection of migratory waterbirds and their habitats along the Flyway.
We need your support!
Protecting key species
One of our main goals is the conservation and protection of our key and globally threatened species in the East Asian-Australasian Flyway. We achieve this by educating our global community and by raising awareness of the issues at hand. There are two pivotal groups that make this possible, our Working Groups and our Task Forces.
Support local communities in developing countries
The EAAFP also does a great deal of conservation work in developing countries. This is a great opportunity to help a growing country take a strong stance on conservation, and to help educate their community of the wondrous waterbirds that roam their landscape. We also have constant news updates on activities and events that are happening at our partnered countries.
World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD)
WMBD is an annual and global awareness-raising campaign that highlights the need for the conservation of migratory birds and their habitats. Every year people from around the world take action and organize public events such as bird festivals, education programmes, exhibitions and bird-watching excursions to celebrate WMBD, which is officially celebrated on the second Saturday in May and in October!
