Ms. Hyeseon Do, the Programme Officer of the EAAFP Secretariat awarded the Environment Minister’s Award 2021

EAAFP Secretariat is very pleased to share Ms. Hyeseon Do, our Programme Officer has received the Ro Korea Environment Minister’s Award on 21st May, recognizing her exceptional efforts and contribution to conserving migratory waterbirds and their habitats.

This award was announced on 21st May, by the Ministry of Environment of Ro Korea during the ceremony to jointly celebrate World Wetlands Day, World Migratory Bird Day and The International Day for Biological Diversity.

The Environment Minister’s Award is given by the Ministry of Environment of Ro Korea in recognition of an individual or organization with outstanding performance to preserve and conserve nature. The winners were selected through a rigorous process to evaluate their excellent performance and contribution made. Ms. Do has dedicated her working years to conserve migratory birds and their habitats as a Programme Officer of the EAAFP Secretariat. She has dedicated herself in expanding the Flyway Site Network in Ro Korea and is devoted to strengthening the conservation network in the Asian region of the East Asian-Australasian Flyway. Also, Ms. Do successfully developed and supported various significant programs in the flyway, influencing pro-nature conservation behaviors with people at various levels.

The EAAFP Secretariat is truly proud of having Ms. Do, with her unstinting commitment and strong leadership to play a forefront role in conserving migratory waterbirds at the EAAFP, and we send our congratulations to her for receiving the award.
