The 2022 <Bird Meets Arts> project is inviting Korean artist, ’Yang Kura’ to lead a participatory installation of artworks. The project consists of an exhibition and various education programs, kicking off with the first lecture on 18th May, followed by a second program with plogging on 11th June, a third program with dancing on 18th June, and the fourth program with music on 25th June.
We are pleased to invite you to the fifth Education program, which will be held this upcoming Thursday 4th August at Ecological Education Center in Songdo. Under the instruction of Yang Kura, an installation artist who uses marine waste for his artworks, participants will make their own sculptures with marine waste. Participants will have a meaningful time to experience the artist’s imagination and behavior indirectly and realize the importance of environmental protection, which is essential for migratory birds and their habitat.

<Bird Meets Arts> is a cooperative project between YSFAC (Yeonsu Foundation for Arts and Culture) and EAAFP (East Asian-Australasian Flyway Partnership) Foundation. Starting in 2021, <Bird Meets Arts> aims to raise awareness for the importance of migratory waterbirds and their habitats among the general public through creative culture and art activities. The 2021 <Bird Meets Arts> project produced 14 videos with six themes: “Ep1. Migratory waterbirds”, “Ep2. Wetlands”, “Ep3. History”, “Ep4. llustration and CEPA”, “Ep5. Youth“ and “Ep6. Music” in Korean and English respectively.
