The 42nd annual conference of the Pacific Seabird Group (PSG) was held in San Jose, California, from 18th to 21st February 2015. With 127 oral and 48 poster presentations, this was the second largest PSG meeting ever since it was established in 1972.
Dr. Mayumi Sato presented a poster on behalf of the EAAFP Seabird Working Group entitled ‘Coordinating Seabird Conservation along the East Asian-Australasian Flyway’. As very few attendees were aware of the EAAFP, the poster was a great success and helped to inform many seabird researchers of the EAAFP and the Seabird Working Group. Several attendees requested additional information and indicated interest in joining the working group.
Members of the Seabird Working Group will continue to promote the Partnership and the conservation of seabirds to a global audience when a number of members will attend the 2nd World Seabird Conference in Cape Town, South Africa 26 -30 October 2015.
