On 11 September, EAAFP Secretariat participated in the Incheon International Organization-MICE Career Fair held at Convensia in Incheon, Republic of Korea. We publicised the activities of EAAFP with our various publications and encouraged young people to apply for our internship program.
Lots of high school and university students and job applicants took part in the career fair, and approximately 100 people visited EAAFP booth. We explained them about the conservation of migratory waterbirds and their habitats, and about the works of interns. Many of them showed interests in activities of EAAFP and our internship program. New publications and EAAFP internship programme flyer and poster were popular among the visitors.
We also communicated with other international organizations and MICE companies, especially those that were related to environmental conservation. It was a good opportunity for the participants to obtain career information face to face from international organisations based in Korea, and for us to raise awareness about our works.
